What we do?

Individual and Community Grants

We provide grants to the Kathorian community in the UK. These can be individual awards or to support community projects.

Individual grants cover education – academic or vocational, business start-up, apprenticeships and personal or professional development that supports service to the community.

Community grants funds individuals creating and providing services to targeted groups in the Kathorian community. examples include care giver, those confined to their homes & development activity for young people.

Kathor

We support many projects in Kathor, primarily through locally registered NGOs. They include educational, social/welfare & medical initiatives. Additionally, supporting community infrastructure and refurbishment projects.

Social & Welfare initiatives include widows/orphan sponsorship, food parcels in Ramadan, monthly stipends to muezzins, training/tools for vocational trades and a nikah support programme.

Educational projects support local students in higher and university education as well as sponsoring students in Islamic Studies. We hold annual events for brothers and sisters providing guidance for personal & professional development and signposting other services.

Medical support is provided to individuals needing support.

All of these initiatives are supported through the generous donations from our supporters here in the UK.

UK National & Regional Community Events

We have held a number of national events in the UK since 2011, culminating with a successful & popular Family Day in 2017.

A planned Family Day in 2020 had to be postponed due to COVID. We hope to start planning for an event in 2024 soon.

If you have ideas or suggestions for this or more regional/focused events we would love to hear from you.
